R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, St. Paul's Lutheran School in Harlingen has been
dedicated to educating the children of the Rio Grande Valley for 54
years; and
WHEREAS, The seventh and eighth grade students of this fine
institution are visiting Austin for their annual Texas state
history trip and will tour the State Capitol as well as the Bob
Bullock Texas State History Museum during their stay in the Capital
City; and
WHEREAS, The plans for their visit also include participating
in the Concordia University Field Day event, which offers students
the opportunity to compete in such diverse areas as music, art,
Bible studies, geography, and athletics; and
WHEREAS, The group's visit to the Capitol is particularly
special for Trevor Nicos Koguglan, as he is the nephew of State
Representative Jaime Capelo; and
WHEREAS, Through their participation in their school's
annual field trip to Austin, these young Texans have demonstrated
an interest in learning more about the workings of state government
and the history and heritage of the Lone Star State, and this
endeavor is most deserving of special recognition at this time;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature hereby commend the visiting students and sponsors from
St. Paul's Lutheran School and extend to them sincere best wishes
for an enjoyable and informative visit to Austin; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Julie Wolther, the principal of St. Paul's Lutheran
School, as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of
Representatives.
