H.R. No. 753



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The year 2003 marks a momentous occasion in the 
lives of James and Ellen Schoggins of Tyler, for on March 6, 2003, 
the couple observed their golden wedding anniversary; and
	WHEREAS, Married on March 6, 1953, in Corpus Christi, Mr. 
Schoggins and the former Ellen Bethel have long enjoyed a warm and 
rewarding relationship based on a solid foundation of mutual love, 
trust, and respect; they take great pride in their close-knit 
family, which includes three children, Kenneth, Dennis, and 
Kathleen Marie Schoggins, four grandchildren, and two 
great-grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Schoggins retired from N.A.F.A. in Alameda, 
California, in 1987, after a career that spanned 37 years; the 
couple have made their home in Tyler since moving back to Texas in 
1994; and
	WHEREAS, Together, Mr. and Mrs. Schoggins have shared the 
trials and triumphs of half a century; their commitment to each 
other is a source of inspiration to their loved ones, and it is 
indeed a pleasure to pay tribute to their enduring union; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate James and Ellen Schoggins on the 
joyous occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to 
them heartfelt best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Schoggins as an expression of high regard 
by the Texas House of Representatives.
