R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The commemoration of a 65th wedding anniversary is 
truly a remarkable event in the lives of two people, and Raymond and 
Beatrice Ivy of New Chapel Hill recently celebrated such a 
momentous occasion; and
	WHEREAS, Raymond Ivy married the former Beatrice Musick on 
March 9, 1938, in the Mixon community, and their union has been 
blessed with two sons, two daughters, 12 grandchildren, and 16 
great-grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, A farmer and rancher, Mr. Ivy retired from Tyler 
Pipe Industries after 34 years of service; Mrs. Ivy is a devoted 
homemaker who has helped run the farm; they are members of the 
Bethel Baptist Church; and
	WHEREAS, This couple have shared 65 years together, nurturing 
a strong bond of love and filling each other's lives with many happy 
times and cherished memories, and it is indeed a privilege to honor 
them at this time; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Raymond and Beatrice Ivy on the 
joyous occasion of their 65th wedding anniversary and extend to 
them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Ivy as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
