R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The year 2003 marks the 30th anniversary of the 
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at El Paso, and this 
milestone provides a fitting opportunity to honor one of the 
individuals who has helped to make this facility the renowned 
institution it is today; and
	WHEREAS, Maria Wulf joined the staff of the center in 1974 
after working for six years at Thomason Hospital, and she quickly 
won the respect and admiration of her colleagues for her dedication 
to her position; she left the center in 1980, and went on to work as 
I.C. manager of Doctors Medical Service Bureau and later as 
secretary treasurer of Professional Services Assistance, Inc.; and
	WHEREAS, Through her exemplary contributions to the Texas 
Tech University Health Sciences Center, Maria Wulf has helped to 
establish Texas Tech El Paso as a valuable resource for health care 
education and delivery for the citizens of West Texas, and her 
unwavering devotion to the well-being of her fellow Texans will not 
soon be forgotten; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby commend Maria Wulf, whose outstanding service in 
behalf of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center has 
ensured a brighter future for countless people; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Maria Wulf as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
