R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The fifth-grade class of Spring Branch Independent School District's Frostwood Elementary School has traveled from Houston to visit the State Capitol, and it is a pleasure to recognize these outstanding young Texans at this time; and WHEREAS, Frostwood Elementary School has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a National Exemplary School, thanks in large part to the dedication of students such as those who have joined us in the house chamber today; and WHEREAS, The school and its students, faculty, and staff have earned an exemplary rating from the Texas Education Agency for the past seven school years; in addition, the National Endowment for the Arts has recognized Frostwood Elementary as a National School of Excellence for its commitment to arts education; and WHEREAS, This noteworthy school boasts an enrollment of 560 students and has a 98 percent attendance rate; the school has received the Governor's Educational Excellence Award and was recognized through the Texas Successful Schools Awards System; and WHEREAS, Young people are this state's most vital resource, and the boys and girls who are present today represent the future leaders of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature hereby welcome the fifth-grade class of Frostwood Elementary School to the State Capitol and extend to these young Texans best wishes for success and happiness in all their future endeavors.
