R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to pay 
tribute to Ronald Pointer on the grand occasion of his 60th 
birthday; and
	WHEREAS, Born to Rexie and Myrtle Pointer on May 1, 1943, in 
Hermann, Missouri, he was one of six children; he made Houston his 
home in 1969 with his wife, Judy, with whom he has shared his life 
for more than 34 years; and
	WHEREAS, This distinguished gentleman, well known for his 
strength and generosity of spirit, is a highly respected resident 
of Seabrook; his family and friends can count on his unfailing good 
cheer and ability to lighten their days, and he brings smiles to 
others by sharing his humor and wit; and
	WHEREAS, A man who has never met a stranger, Mr. Pointer takes 
great pleasure in visiting his large extended family and his many 
friends; he is especially proud of his only child, Rhonda Pointer; 
and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Pointer is an avid reader and has spent his life 
pursuing new knowledge; in recent years, he has grown to love the 
study of genealogy and has traced his family back to the 
Revolutionary War period; he enjoys traveling throughout the United 
States and greatly admires our beautiful nation, but he is always 
happiest when in Texas; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Ronald Pointer on the joyous 
occasion of his 60th birthday and extend to him sincere best wishes 
for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Pointer as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
