R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Each year the Star-Telegram in Arlington honors 
individuals who have made a significant contribution to the 
community with the Star-Telegram Awards Recognizing Service, or 
STARS; and
	WHEREAS, STARS nominees are chosen on the basis of their 
dedication of time, effort, and distinguished service to the people 
of Tarrant County; and
	WHEREAS, Tagg Sawyer, winner of the Northeast Tarrant County 
Community Spirit Award, has helped to shape and inspire innumerable 
youth as a coach at the YMCA; he has become a hero to children and 
parents alike by sharing his courage, perseverance, and passion for 
life with each team he coaches; and
	WHEREAS, The spirit of service is one of the most ennobling 
human traits, and by giving freely of his time and talents for the 
benefit of others this inspirational individual has truly earned 
special recognition; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Tagg Sawyer on receiving a 2003 
STARS award and commend him for his noble efforts; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Sawyer as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
