R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A 65th wedding anniversary is truly cause for 
celebration, and on May 10, 2003, Virgil E. and Eartha Mae Rogers of 
Tyler are marking this memorable event in their marriage in the 
company of their family and friends; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Rogers and the former Eartha Mae Warren began 
their life together as husband and wife with the exchange of their 
wedding vows on May 11, 1938; over the course of their close and 
enduring relationship, the couple have demonstrated a deep love, 
trust, and admiration for each other, and they remain a source of 
inspiration to their loved ones; and
	WHEREAS, Blessed with three children, James Virgil Rogers, 
Joe Preston Rogers, and the late Lenora Fay Rogers, Mr. and Mrs. 
Rogers take great pride in their close-knit family, which has grown 
to include seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, Together, Mr. and Mrs. Rogers have shared the trials 
and triumphs of 6-1/2 decades, and their commitment to each other 
gladdens the hearts of their loving circle of family and friends; 
now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Virgil E. and Eartha Mae Rogers on 
the joyous occasion of their 65th wedding anniversary and extend to 
them heartfelt best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Rogers as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
