R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, April 16, 2003, was a momentous day in the lives of
Melissa Eiland and Representative Craig Eiland of Galveston, for on
that day they became the proud parents of two adorable babies when
Mrs. Eiland gave birth to twins; and
WHEREAS, Born at The University of Texas Medical Branch at
Galveston, the darling duo surely were the center of attention
among staff and patients alike when they made their dramatic debut;
and
WHEREAS, William Gray weighed in at 3 pounds, 1 ounce, and was
the first to arrive, followed by Delaney Paige, at 2 pounds, 12
ounces; both measured 15-1/2 inches in length; and
WHEREAS, Blessed with a double dose of charm and simply
irresistible smiles, William and Delaney have brought boundless joy
into the hearts of their parents, their big brothers, Blake and
Tucker, and their grandparents, Gaye Lynn Orebaugh of Houston,
Duane Orebaugh of Fort Worth, and Paige and Elaine Eiland of
Stanton; and
WHEREAS, The birth of a child is always a miraculous event,
and it is a great pleasure to formally announce the birth of these
precious new Texans and to honor their delighted parents, siblings,
and grandparents; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature hereby officially welcome William Gray Eiland and
Delaney Paige Eiland as new citizens of Texas and extend heartfelt
congratulations to Melissa Eiland and Representative Craig Eiland
on the birth of their cherished children; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the Eiland twins and their parents as an expression of
high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
