R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The great State of Texas has long served as a 
compelling setting and topic for countless works of literature 
enjoyed by readers the world over; and
	WHEREAS, The Honorable Hill Kemp, who served with distinction 
as a member of the 68th Texas Legislature, has completed his debut 
novel, Capitol Offense, and with its publication, Mr. Kemp has 
added to the "must read" list of many fans of Texas literature; set 
amid the legislative session, Capitol Offense will educate the 
public about the intricacies of forming and passing legislation 
while providing them with untold hours of engrossing entertainment; 
and
	WHEREAS, The Honorable Hill Kemp has combined his firsthand 
knowledge of the legislature with a talent for writing, and he may 
take pride in bringing this significant new work to fruition; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate former State Representative Hill 
Kemp on the publication of Capitol Offense and extend to him warmest 
best wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Kemp as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
