R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to welcome the fifth grade class from the Trinity School of Texas to the Capitol today; and WHEREAS, Founded in 1957, the Trinity School of Texas aims to develop lifelong learners and respectful human beings by honoring the qualities of honor, justice, intellectual curiosity, and equality; and WHEREAS, This fine Longview institution features an innovative curriculum that provides for its students' intellectual, spiritual, emotional, social, and physical development; the school endeavors to give its students a well-rounded education that reinforces the school's timeless ideals while helping students to reach their potential; and WHEREAS, With the 78th Legislative Session well underway, the Capitol Complex is abuzz with activity and offers these exemplary young people the chance to see their state government functioning at its dynamic best; and WHEREAS, The majestic Capitol, with its impressive rotunda and distinctive pink granite facade, is an ideal place for young and old alike to discover the rich heritage that is Texas and to gain insight into the workings of our state government, and the members of this chamber are proud to commemorate this worthwhile visit; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature hereby welcome the students of the Trinity School of Texas to the State Capitol and encourage them to embrace the long and fascinating history of the Lone Star State and to continue in their quest toward achieving a better understanding of the important role that state government plays in the lives of all Texans.
