R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, North Texas businessman Mani Rahman has made 
innumerable contributions to the Dallas/Fort Worth community and on 
May 3, 2003, the DFW Pakistan American Chamber of Commerce will 
welcome this distinguished gentleman as guest speaker at the Annual 
Banquet Awards; and
	WHEREAS, The DFW Pakistan American Chamber of Commerce works 
to provide its members with important benefits including business 
education seminars, small business assistance and counseling, and 
networking;  participants in this notable group are gathering for 
the banquet to recognize local business leaders; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Rahman is a graduate of the University of 
Houston; a prominent figure in the insurance and investment 
industry since 1988, he specializes in the needs of business owners 
and professionals; and
	WHEREAS, This esteemed gentleman operates Rahman Financial, 
a company dedicated to understanding its clients' goals and 
developing financial strategies to best suit their individual 
needs; active in professional organizations, he is a member of the 
National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the 
Million Dollar Round Table; and
	WHEREAS,  Mr. Rahman has provided opportunity, direction, and 
support to countless residents of North Texas, and it is a privilege 
to pay tribute to him at this time; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby commend Mani Rahman for his many contributions 
and extend best wishes to the DFW Pakistan American Chamber of 
Commerce for a successful and rewarding event.
