R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Spicewood Elementary School of the Round Rock Independent School District has been awarded exemplary status by the Texas Education Agency for its impressive achievements during the 2001-2002 school year; and WHEREAS, This Central Texas school is under the skilled leadership of principal Beth June, whose dedication and hard work, coupled with the determined efforts on the part of the students and teachers, have greatly advanced the school's pursuit of excellence in education; and WHEREAS, Among the rigorous criteria that must be met to achieve exemplary status are a high degree of student success on the TAAS test, superior attendance, and a minimal dropout rate; and WHEREAS, The students, faculty, and administrators of Spicewood Elementary School are a vital part of the Lone Star State's public education system, and their notable accomplishments are most deserving of special recognition at this time; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature hereby commend Spicewood Elementary School on its receipt of exemplary status from the Texas Education Agency and extend sincere congratulations to all those associated with this outstanding school; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Spicewood Elementary School as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
