R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Charles Gee of Jasper is a man of rare dedication and integrity, and his service to the people of his community is indeed deserving of special recognition; and WHEREAS, A valued member of the Jasper Volunteer Fire Department starting in 1966, this longtime resident is loved and respected by his colleagues, many of whom have benefited from his leadership and training; before retiring in 2000, Mr. Gee shared his years of experience and expertise with other firefighters as an instructor at project #50, "The Hottest Little Firehouse in Texas"; and WHEREAS, A model member of his profession, he took tremendous satisfaction in protecting the lives and property of his fellow citizens; this brave gentleman exemplified, in his personal and professional conduct, the singular virtues of courage, integrity, and unwavering dedication; and WHEREAS, Throughout his decades with the Jasper Volunteer Fire Department, this outstanding public servant established a record of meritorious service, loyalty, and self-sacrifice consistent with the highest ideals of firefighting; a man of immense vision and strength, Charles Gee has contributed greatly to the community he is proud to call home; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature hereby commend Charles Gee for his many years of service to the Jasper community and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Gee as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
