R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Faye Talley is retiring as manager and president of Alamo Title of Guadalupe County, bringing to a close an impressive 48-year career, and she truly merits special legislative recognition on this memorable occasion; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Talley began working in the business in 1955 when it was Guadalupe County Abstract Company, and she won the admiration and respect of her customers and those with whom she worked for her unwavering honesty and fairness; and WHEREAS, This outstanding Texan has also been active in her community, serving in leadership positions with the Seguin Area Chamber of Commerce, the Texas Land and Title Association, the Guadalupe County Fair Association, the Seguin High School Advisory Committee, and the Office Education Committee; she is an active member of Faith Lutheran Church and has been made an honorary member of the Guadalupe County Fair Association; and WHEREAS, Faye Talley, who was voted Seguin Zonta's Woman of the Year in 1987, has helped generations of Guadalupe County homeowners and has formed lasting friendships in the process, and it is a pleasure to honor her as she embarks on this next chapter of her life; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Faye Talley on her retirement from Alamo Title of Guadalupe County and extend to her sincere best wishes for much success and happiness in the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mrs. Talley as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
