H.R. No. 1040



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Roberto "Robby" Garza, Jr., of Brownsville passed 
from this life on April 24, 2003, having deeply touched the hearts 
of his loved ones with his warm smile and goodness for 23 years; and
	WHEREAS, A native Texan, Mr. Garza was born in Brownsville on 
April 5, 1980; he obtained his early education at Lincoln Park 
School and went on to graduate from Brackenridge High School in San 
Antonio on June 3, 2002; and
	WHEREAS, Although his body was bound by significant 
challenges, this remarkable young man had a spirit that soared, and 
through his laughter and angelic demeanor he taught compassion and 
life lessons that otherwise would not have been learned; the life of 
Robby Garza will be forever cherished by those who were privileged 
to share his love; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Roberto "Robby" 
Garza, Jr., and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his 
family: to his parents, Judge Roberto Garza and Norma L. 
Saenz-Garza; to his brother, Myles Ryan Garza; to his sister, 
Rochelle Garza; to his grandparents, Carlos and Frances Perez 
Saenz, Maria S. Garza, and Sabas Garza, Jr.; and to his other 
relatives; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of 
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Roberto 
"Robby" Garza, Jr.
