R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, David C. Polyansky is graduating from the University 
of Houston Law Center on May 9, 2003, with a juris doctorate, and 
this accomplishment is indeed deserving of special recognition; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Polyansky earned his undergraduate degree in 
1999 from the University of St. Thomas, graduating in the top one 
percent of his class; before completing his bachelor's degree, he 
dutifully served as a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps 
from 1992 to 1997; and
	WHEREAS, During his tenure at the University of Houston Law 
Center, Mr. Polyansky has been a talented member of the 
Interscholastic Moot Court Team, and he also gained additional 
valuable experience by clerking for several private law firms in 
Houston; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Polyansky served as chief of staff for Houston 
City Council member Joe Roach from September 1998 to January 2000 
and as an aide for Houston City Council member Bruce Tatro from 
December 1997 to September 1998; and
	WHEREAS, This noteworthy gentleman has demonstrated great 
dedication and excellence in his many pursuits, and it is a pleasure 
to wish him well as he embarks on the next stage of his career; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate David Polyansky on his graduation 
from the University of Houston Law Center and extend to him best 
wishes for continued success and happiness in all his endeavors; 
and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Polyansky as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
