R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to honor the Northwest Neighborhood Alliance (NNA) for the organization's many significant contributions to the citizens of San Antonio; and WHEREAS, The NNA was created to address the challenges and concerns facing homeowners, including zoning, development, schools, traffic flow, and safety, by working closely with the city council and mayor; and WHEREAS, The alliance is composed of various neighborhood associations in the Alamo City representing more than 30,000 households and is under the leadership of Jody Sherrill, chairman and president of the Camino Bandera Neighborhood Association, Paul Longoria, vice chairman and president of the Carriage Place Neighborhood Association, Dominick Dina, secretary and president of the Guibeau Park Neighborhood Association, and George Bird, treasurer and president of the New Territories Neighborhood Association; and WHEREAS, Among the other dedicated individuals who represent neighborhood associations in the alliance are: Larry Patin of Braun Station West, Greg Shean of Northwest Crossing, Dave Zueck of Finesilver Ranch, Joan Price of Ingram Hills, Ross Laughead of Oakland Estates, Elaine Talarski of Quail Creek, Wil McNamee of Braun Oaks, Dick Schwab of Braun Hollow, Gary Mansch of Stonefield, Bob Edwards of French Creek, James Mendez of Saddlebrook, Angel McNeal of Pipers Meadow, Richard Robledo of Braun Station East, Judy Jordan of Legend Hills, Joe Barranowsk of Village in the Woods, and Larry Romo of Woodglen Homeowners Association; and WHEREAS, The Northwest Neighborhood Alliance is helping to make San Antonio a better place in which to live and raise a family, and it is a pleasure to honor this exemplary organization at this time; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature hereby honor all those associated with the Northwest Neighborhood Alliance and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the Northwest Neighborhood Alliance as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
