H.R. No. 1078
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A delegation of fourth grade students from Rosemeade
Elementary School in Carrollton is visiting the State Capitol on
May 9, 2003, to learn more about Texas government and history; and
WHEREAS, With the 78th Legislative Session well underway, the
Capitol Complex is a source of great activity, offering visitors an
excellent opportunity to see their state government functioning at
its dynamic best; and
WHEREAS, This noteworthy group of more than 50 fourth graders
and their sponsors, principal, Larry Conner, assistant principal,
Teri Rubens, and teachers, Ellen Solov, Deanne Belohalvy, Dawn
Cleveland, and Michelle Markee, as well as some 30 parents, will
have a chance to tour the Capitol and learn the fascinating history
of this great monument; and
WHEREAS, The Texas Capitol is an ideal setting for young and
old alike to discover the rich heritage of the Lone Star State and
to gain insight into the workings of our state legislature, and it
is a pleasure to welcome the Rosemeade students, parents,
educators, and administrators at this time; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature hereby commend the visiting students and sponsors from
Rosemeade Elementary School in Carrollton on their interest in
state government and extend to them best wishes for an informative
and memorable visit to the Capitol; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the delegation as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
