R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor
Valerie Christine Serna on her graduation from The University of
Texas at El Paso; and
WHEREAS, After fulfilling the rigorous qualifications and
demanding course work required of her, Ms. Serna is receiving a
bachelor of interdisciplinary studies degree in elementary
education with a minor in early childhood on May 10, 2003; and
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan is recognized by her
professors and her fellow students as a dedicated student, and her
commendable efforts are emblematic of her desire to perform
academically at the highest possible level; and
WHEREAS, Attaining a college degree is a truly notable
milestone, for it represents the culmination of years of work in the
academic arena, and armed with this significant achievement,
Valerie Serna is indeed ready to embark on an exciting new chapter
in her life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Valerie Christine Serna on her
graduation from The University of Texas at El Paso and extend to her
sincere best wishes for success and happiness in the future; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Serna as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
