R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, On May 2, 2003, many residents of Houston joined in 
celebration of the opening of Venturetech's new manufacturing 
facility, and it is a pleasure to congratulate the company's 
founder, Larry Keast, on this milestone event; and
	WHEREAS, Venturetech was established in 1980 to create, 
design, and manufacture various types of technical equipment; over 
the years, the company has focused its efforts on revolutionizing 
power swivel design and has established itself as a leader in its 
field; and
	WHEREAS, In 2002, Venturetech purchased the building located 
at 6901 Alabonson Road, which was formerly owned by Frito-Lay, 
Inc., and has subsequently converted it into a first-class 
manufacturing facility; and
	WHEREAS, A healthy economic climate is fostered by strong, 
independent businesses, and Venturetech's latest expansion is a 
notable indication of the company's continued growth and vitality; 
now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Larry Keast on the opening of 
Venturetech's new facility and extend to him sincere best wishes 
for continued success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Keast as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
