R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The family and friends of Senaida Villareal Garcia  
of Harlingen were deeply saddened by the passing of this remarkable 
lady on April 22, 2003, at the age of 92; and
	WHEREAS, Mrs. Garcia was born on October 4, 1910, in Abram; 
throughout her life, she enjoyed the simple pleasures found in 
roses, chocolate, and candy; Mrs. Garcia also held a special 
affection for the Harlingen Cardinals football team and enjoyed 
attending their Friday night games; and
	WHEREAS, A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and 
great-grandmother, Mrs. Garcia provided immeasurable love and 
support to her family, and although she will be profoundly missed, 
her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate 
enough to have known her; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Senaida V. Garcia and 
extend deepest sympathy to the members of her family: to her 
daughter, Consuelo "Connie" James; to her 4 grandsons and 5 
granddaughters and their spouses; to her 26 great-grandchildren; to 
her 2 great-great-grandchildren; to her sisters, Della Recio and 
Olivia Guerra; to her brother, Fred Villareal; and to her other 
relatives and many friends; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of 
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Senaida V. 
Garcia.
