R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Braeden Hunter Simmons of Kilgore has been chosen 
Mr. Toddler Texas Cover Boy for 2003, and this significant honor is 
indeed well deserved; and
	WHEREAS, In the pageant held on April 4-6, 2003, Braeden 
competed against 16 other boys in his age category, ages 0 to 2, and 
in addition to winning the top title, he was selected as "most 
handsome", "best casual sportswear", and "best swimwear"; and
	WHEREAS, For his efforts, Braeden was awarded a crown and 
banner, a cash prize of $200, three trophies, a plaque, a huge bag 
of toys, and a chance to compete at the America's Cover Miss and 
Cover Boy USA pageant being held in Orlando, Florida, in July; and
	WHEREAS, The cherished son of Chad and Amy Simmons, this 
adorable young Texan enjoys the love and support of his family in 
all that he does, including his grandparents, Joel and Karen Hatt, 
Ray and Linda Simmons, and Barney and Cindy Patterson, and his 
great-grandparents, Chock and Mary Romine, Kenneth and Eloise 
Simmons, Kenneth and Marcy Hatt, Jennie Underwood, and Harry and 
Dee Highland; and
	WHEREAS, With his winning smile and irrepressible 
personality, Braeden may indeed look forward to a bright and 
promising future, and it is a pleasure to acknowledge his 
achievement at this time; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Braeden Hunter Simmons on being 
named 2003 Mr. Toddler Texas Cover Boy and extend to him sincere 
best wishes for success at the national competition; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Braeden and his parents as an expression of high regard 
by the Texas House of Representatives.
