H.R. No. 1139



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Gerald Ames has been named Secondary Teacher of the 
Year by the Tornillo Independent School District, a fitting 
accolade for this acclaimed educator, who brings more than three 
decades of experience to the classroom; and
	WHEREAS, A graduate of New Mexico State University, where he 
earned a bachelor's degree in business, Mr. Ames inspires his 
social studies pupils to excel, and because of his exceptional 
instruction, his students are firmly set on the path to a bright 
academic and professional future; and
	WHEREAS, This accomplished Texan exemplifies the very best in 
his noble calling, and it is truly a privilege to recognize his 
efforts and achievements at this time; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Gerald Ames on being named the 
Tornillo I.S.D. Secondary Teacher of the Year and extend to him best 
wishes for continued happiness and success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Ames as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
