R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Gina Rodriguez is a respected civic and political 
leader in the city of El Paso, and her commitment to grassroots 
activism sets her apart and truly merits special legislative 
recognition at this time; and
	WHEREAS, A democratic form of government depends on the 
informed participation of its people, and foremost among the 
system's participants are those dedicated men and women who are 
willing to make the sacrifices necessary to help educate and 
mobilize voters; and
	WHEREAS, In taking on this difficult challenge, Gina 
Rodriguez has joined the proud tradition of citizen leadership that 
has been our nation's trademark for more than two centuries, and she 
can take justifiable pride in the role she continues to play in this 
noble legacy; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby commend Gina Rodriguez for the contributions she 
has made to the community of El Paso and extend to her best wishes 
for future success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Rodriguez as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
