R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Sharon Thomas of Risinger Primary School has 
deservedly been named Teacher of the Year for 2002-2003 by the 
Fabens Independent School District; and
	WHEREAS, Ms. Thomas is a second grade teacher at the primary 
school and has won the respect and admiration of teachers, 
students, and parents alike for her dedication to advancing 
education in Texas; in addition to her work in the classroom, she 
recently served as the school's UIL coordinator, and under her 
leadership Risinger earned first place honors; and
	WHEREAS, This outstanding educator inspires her students to 
excel, and because of her exceptional instruction, her pupils are 
firmly set on the path to a bright future; and
	WHEREAS, Ms. Thomas exemplifies the best in her noble 
profession, and it is truly a privilege to recognize her at this 
time; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Sharon Thomas on her receipt of a 
2002-2003 Teacher of the Year award and extend to her sincere best 
wishes for success and happiness in the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Thomas as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
