H.R. No. 1151



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Olga Hernandez of O'Donnell Elementary School has 
deservedly been named Teacher of the Year for 2002-2003 by the 
Fabens Independent School District; and
	WHEREAS, Ms. Hernandez has been a teacher in the district for 
the last four years, and over the course of her distinguished 
tenure, she has won the respect and admiration of teachers, 
students, and parents alike for her dedication to advancing 
bilingual education in Texas; and
	WHEREAS, This outstanding educator inspires her students to 
excel, and because of her exceptional instruction, her pupils are 
given the tools necessary to acquire academic and personal success; 
and
	WHEREAS, Ms. Hernandez exemplifies the best in her noble 
profession, and it is truly a privilege to recognize her at this 
time; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Olga Hernandez on her receipt of a 
2002-2003 Teacher of the Year award and extend to her sincere best 
wishes for success and happiness in the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Hernandez as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
