R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Three outstanding athletes are being duly recognized for their athletic achievements when pitcher Harry Grenader, catcher Roy Love, and Senior Olympic gold medalist Harry Pepper are inducted into the Ronnie Arrow Jewish Sports Hall of Fame on June 8, 2003, at the Kaplan Theater of the Jewish Community Center (JCC) in Houston; and WHEREAS, Forty-three honorees have been inducted to date into this prestigious hall of fame, which was founded in 1995 by the late Jerry Ribnick and endowed by the family of basketball star and coach Ronnie Arrow; and WHEREAS, Located near the JCC health center, the Ronnie Arrow Jewish Sports Hall of Fame pays tribute to athletes who have demonstrated exceptional ability and skill during their careers; the men chosen for induction in 2003 are truly deserving of such recognition, and they may take great pride in this notable achievement; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Harry Grenader, Roy Love, and Harry Pepper on their induction into the Ronnie Arrow Jewish Sports Hall of Fame and extend to them warmest best wishes for future success and happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Grenader, Mr. Love, and Mr. Pepper as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
