R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Andre P. Juneau of Austin is ending a highly
successful term as president of the Independent Insurance Agents of
Texas (IIAT), and this occasion provides a fitting opportunity to
honor the many accomplishments of this fine gentleman; and
WHEREAS, Senior vice president of Nieman Hanks Puryear, Mr.
Juneau has been involved in the insurance industry for more than two
decades, and his hard work and dedication have earned him the
respect and admiration of his colleagues throughout the state; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Juneau is a graduate of The University of Texas
at Austin, where he earned a bachelor of business administration
degree with a major in insurance; he worked as a property and
casualty underwriter for State Farm Insurance before joining his
current employer in 1982; and
WHEREAS, An active member of IIAT since 1993 and president
since 2002, Mr. Juneau has served as a state board member and as
vice president of the IIAT executive committee; in addition, he is a
former board member, education director, and president of the
Independent Insurance Agents of Austin; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Juneau is a respected family man who is devoted
to his wife of 20 years, Laura, and to their three children, Nicole,
Natalie, and Clay; a congregant at St. John Neumann Catholic
Church, he is also a volunteer with the Capitol Area Food Bank, the
United Way Capitol Area, and the Young Men's Business League; and
WHEREAS, Andre Juneau is an outstanding business leader and a
true friend to the community, and he truly deserves legislative
recognition for his many achievements as he concludes his service
as president of IIAT; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature hereby honor Andre P. Juneau, outgoing president of the
Independent Insurance Agents of Texas, and extend to him warmest
best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Juneau as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
