H.R. No. 1215


R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Dan Hejl has without hesitation consistently donated his time, money, and energy to assist those in need; and WHEREAS, A partner in Hejl, Lee and Associates, an engineering firm located in Austin, Mr. Hejl has served his community in myriad ways; when residents of St. John's Colony applied for funding to repair their substandard homes but had no documentation supporting their ownership, Mr. Hejl graciously provided surveying services at no cost, eliminating the major obstacle that stood in their way to obtaining the funding they desperately needed; and WHEREAS, In 2002, this compassionate gentleman contributed more than $10,000 to provide a septic system for a home with no sewage facilities; despite having never met its occupants, Mr. Hejl felt compelled to remediate the problem to ensure that the family living in the home would not permanently lose their children; and WHEREAS, Unselfishly, humbly, and without expectation of recognition or reward, Dan Hejl brings to each project he takes on a genuine desire to enrich the communities and people he serves, proving that one person truly can make a positive difference in the world and inspiring all who are privileged to know him; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature hereby honor Dan Hejl for his long-standing record of humanitarianism and extend to him warmest best wishes for continued success and fulfillment with his many good works; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Hejl as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
