R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, It is always a pleasure to honor one of the state's 
outstanding citizens, and Rick Archie of Fort Worth is truly 
deserving of special recognition; and
	WHEREAS, A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, 
this esteemed gentleman is the co-owner of Archie's Gardenland in 
Fort Worth, a retail nursery and landscape contracting business; he 
is the third generation of his family to operate this enduring 
business, and he has won the respect and admiration of people 
throughout the community for his dedication and expertise; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Archie, who is active in Boy Scouts and attained 
the rank of Eagle Scout, is also active in the Texas Nursery and 
Landscape Association, for which he has served in various 
leadership positions on the local and regional levels, including 
chairman of the board for 2002-2003; and
	WHEREAS, Small business is vital to a healthy economy, and it 
is a tremendous privilege to join in honoring Mr. Archie for his 
contribution to the strength of his community and for his efforts to 
bring the benefits of a pleasing and healthy environment to Fort 
Worth area residents; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby commend Rick Archie on his many accomplishments 
and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and 
happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Archie as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
