R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The wedding anniversary of two outstanding Texans 
who have shared 50 happy and rewarding years of marriage is truly a 
notable occasion worthy of special recognition; and
	WHEREAS, Bob and Peggy Gault of Midland commemorated that 
golden event in their marriage this year at the home of their son, 
Jim Gault, when they were the guests of honor at a celebration of 
their five decades of mutual affection and devotion; and
	WHEREAS, United in marriage on April 4, 1953, at First United 
Methodist Church in Three Rivers, the couple have seen their 
relationship grow in love and respect with each passing year; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Gault retired from Conoco, Inc., in 1990 after a 
successful 37-year career with the company, while Mrs. Gault is 
retired from a 20-year career working with several government 
agencies; and
	WHEREAS, For half a century, Mr. and Mrs. Gault have shared a 
union filled with many cherished times and joyful family memories; 
their relationship is a source of inspiration to their family and 
many friends, and it is a pleasure to join their loved ones in 
honoring this fortunate pair; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Bob and Peggy Gault on their 50th 
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for 
continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Gault as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
