R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, On January 22, 2003, Jack and Wanda McGraw of 
Midland observed their golden wedding anniversary, and in June 2003 
they plan to celebrate this significant milestone in their marriage 
with a Caribbean cruise; and
	WHEREAS, United in matrimony on January 22, 1953, in 
Corsicana, Mr. and Mrs. McGraw have since been blessed with four 
sons; Tim, Scott, Kyle, and Travis, and 11 grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, The couple lived in Virginia Beach, Virginia; 
Artesia, New Mexico; and the Texas communities of Abilene and 
Sherman before moving to Midland in 1966; over the course of his 
career, Mr. McGraw worked for Dowell, Coastal Oil & Gas, H. L. 
Brown, Jr., and C. F. Lawrence & Associates, and, in 1981, he formed 
Brothers Production Company with his four sons; and
	WHEREAS, Valued members of their community, Mr. and Mrs. 
McGraw attend Golf Course Road Church of Christ, where he is an 
elder; Mr. McGraw also serves on the boards of Midland Christian 
School and Oklahoma Christian University; and
	WHEREAS, For half a century, this devoted couple have enjoyed 
an enduring union filled with many happy times and cherished family 
memories, and it is indeed a privilege to honor them at this time; 
now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Jack and Wanda McGraw on the joyous 
occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them 
warmest best wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. McGraw as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
