R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, To mark their 58 years of marriage, Homer and 
Theresa Lowe of Midland commemorated this joyous event in their 
lives on March 12, 2003, with a special anniversary celebration; 
and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Lowe and the former Theresa Lowry began their 
journey as husband and wife with the exchange of their wedding vows 
on March 12, 1945, at the First Baptist Church in Carlsbad, New 
Mexico; and
	WHEREAS, Over the course of their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Lowe 
have shared a close and fulfilling relationship that has been made 
even richer through the expansion of their family, which includes 
three children, Rebekah Teinert, the Reverend J. Allen Lowe, and 
Lavonya Lee Friday, seven grandchildren, and eight 
great-grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, Mrs. Lowe has been a dedicated homemaker throughout 
her marriage, while Mr. Lowe is retired from a career with the 
Midland Fire Department that spanned 26 years; the Lowes are valued 
congregants of the First Baptist Church, and Mr. Lowe is also a 
member of Midland Masonic Lodge No. 623; and
	WHEREAS, Together, this devoted couple have set an 
inspirational example of mutual love, respect, and admiration for 
their close-knit circle of family and friends, and it is truly a 
pleasure to join in  honoring them at this time; now, therefore, be 
it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Homer and Theresa Lowe on the happy 
occasion of their 58th wedding anniversary and extend to them 
warmest best wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Lowe as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
