R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Twice-elected Justice of the Peace Gualberto Weaver 
has retired after serving Cameron County with distinction for eight 
years; and
	WHEREAS, The family of Judge Weaver has been in Los Indios 
since the early 1880s, and the justice of the peace seat has been in 
his family for more than 80 years; using his father's old country 
store as an office, this longtime school teacher has performed the 
duties of JP with exceptional commitment, integrity, and skill; and
	WHEREAS, Judge Weaver has made tremendous contributions to 
his community, positively influencing the lives of his fellow 
Texans, and his work in behalf of Los Indios will not soon be 
forgotten; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby honor Gualberto Weaver on the occasion of his 
retirement as justice of the peace, Cameron County Precinct 7, 
Place 2, and extend to him warmest best wishes for a future filled 
with happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Judge Weaver as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
