                                                                  H.R. No. 1272



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Relatively few golfers realize the dream of hitting 
a hole-in-one, but when they do, the memory lasts a lifetime; and
	WHEREAS, On April 28, 2003, Mike Navarro of Waxahachie 
experienced his date with destiny when he notched a hole-in-one on 
the par 3, 175-yard, No. 10 hole of the Waxahachie Country Club Golf 
Course during the annual Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce Golf 
Tournament; and
	WHEREAS, Making the event even sweeter, Mr. Navarro's perfect 
drive to the pin won him a 2003 Buick Rendezvous that was donated 
for the tournament by a local auto dealer; and
	WHEREAS, This single-shot sensation caused quite a stir among 
the competition's participants and was undoubtedly a moment Mike 
Navarro and those in attendance will never forget; now, therefore, 
be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Mike Navarro on making a 
hole-in-one and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued 
success both on and off the links; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Navarro as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
