No. 1282R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, The El Paso Center on Family Violence (EPCFV) has benefited immeasurably from the outstanding service of executive director Clemencia Prieto; and WHEREAS, The El Paso Center on Family Violence strives to confront domestic abuse in all its forms by offering prevention, intervention, and treatment programs and community outreach; as executive director, Ms. Prieto is responsible for the fiscal and programmatic oversight of EPCFV, the only center of its kind in far West Texas; and WHEREAS, This distinguished woman brings to her position a wealth of experience gained over the past 13 years, having worked as a project development manager in the victims advocacy section of the San Antonio Police Department and as a program manager and program coordinator for the child resources division of the City of San Antonio Department of Community Initiatives; and WHEREAS, Ms. Prieto's dedication has earned the respect and admiration of her peers, and for her efforts in support of the center's critical work, she is indeed deserving of the highest praise; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature hereby commend Clemencia Prieto for her outstanding service to the El Paso Center on Family Violence and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Prieto as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
