H.R. No. 1299



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, September 8, 2003, marks the 50th wedding 
anniversary of Alonzo Sanders, Jr., and Berda Stewart Sanders of 
Midland, and this significant milestone is most deserving of 
special recognition; and
	WHEREAS, This loving couple were wed at the Marshall County 
Courthouse in 1953, and since that time, their close-knit family 
has grown to include seven children, Harold Sanders, Robert 
Sanders, Brenda Jones, Ricky Sanders, Milton Sanders, Ruby Murry, 
and Jenetta Atchison; through the years, Mr. and Mrs. Sanders have 
also shared the joy of becoming grandparents, and today they take 
great pride in their 11 grandchildren, Antwan Goodley, Damion 
Sanders, Ricky Sanders, Jr., Andre Mitchell, Morgan Sanders, Keshia 
Sanders, Merissa Sanders, Corey Jones, Jamal Sanders, Jarvara 
Sanders, and Jaterrernce Atchison, as well as their two 
great-grandchildren, Antwan Goodley, Jr., and Antwanashia Goodley; 
and
	WHEREAS, Over the course of their five decades together, 
Mr. and Mrs. Sanders have demonstrated their deep commitment to one 
another, to their family, and to the institution of marriage, and it 
is a pleasure to join in honoring them at this time; now, therefore, 
be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Alonzo Sanders, Jr., and Berda 
Stewart Sanders on the memorable occasion of their golden wedding 
anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued 
happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Sanders as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
