H.R. No. 1427



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Robert Rayburn has been accorded a well-deserved 
honor with the receipt of The Park People of Houston 2003 Sandy Reed 
Memorial Award; and
	WHEREAS, The Park People, Inc., is a nonprofit citizens' 
organization dedicated to the preservation, enhancement, and 
expansion of open green space in the Houston area; and
	WHEREAS, A board member of The Park People of Houston, Mr. 
Rayburn was selected to receive this prestigious honor based on his 
outstanding leadership as chairman of the projects committee; 
active in the organization for years, he initiated the successful 
"People to the Parks" program; and
	WHEREAS, The commitment this esteemed gentleman has 
demonstrated to the commendable goals of The Park People of Houston 
is truly worthy of special praise, and it is an honor to recognize 
him at this time; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Robert Rayburn on the receipt of 
The Park People of Houston 2003 Sandy Reed Memorial Award and 
commend him for his valuable contributions to his community; and, 
be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Rayburn as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
