R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, JPMorgan Chase has been accorded a well-deserved 
honor with the receipt of The Park People of Houston 2003 Park 
Project Award; and
	WHEREAS, The Park People, Inc., is a nonprofit citizens' 
organization dedicated to the preservation, enhancement, and 
expansion of open green space in the Houston area; and
	WHEREAS, JPMorgan Chase was selected for this prestigious 
honor based on its creation of a "pocket park" in the downtown 
corner of Capitol and Milam streets; a green and welcoming space, 
the park features splashing fountains and a permeable crushed 
granite surface reminiscent of charming public spaces across 
Europe; and
	WHEREAS, This delightful area will no doubt provide enjoyment 
for countless Texans, and for this contribution, JPMorgan Chase is 
truly worthy of special praise; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate JPMorgan Chase on the receipt of 
The Park People of Houston 2003 Park Project Award and commend its 
valuable efforts; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for JPMorgan Chase as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
