R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The family and friends of David Paton "Mac" McIntire 
of Austin were deeply saddened by his passing on May 5, 2003, at the 
age of 49; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. McIntire was born on September 17, 1953, in 
Houston, and he spent the first several months of his life in an 
incubator as a premature baby; and
	WHEREAS, Growing into a large and gregarious man, Mr. 
McIntire served in the United States Navy and went on to have a 
successful career as an Internet sales manager with Mazda South; 
and
	WHEREAS, This distinguished Texan was a valued member of his 
community who enjoyed the love and support of family and friends; 
although his presence is widely missed, his memory will live on with 
those who were fortunate enough to have known him; now, therefore, 
be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature pay tribute to the life of David Paton McIntire and 
extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family:  to his 
nephews, Benjamin and Sean McIntire; to his brother Robert B. 
McIntire; and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of 
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of David Paton 
"Mac" McIntire.
