R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Ashley Quintanilla of Ernesto Serna Middle School
was named the school softball team's offensive player of the year;
and
WHEREAS, Truly a leader on the baseball diamond, Ms.
Quintanilla's effectiveness in the batter's box was an inspiration
to her teammates and she played a significant role in her team's
success throughout the course of the softball season; and
WHEREAS, Participation in athletics can be of great value to
youth, as sports emphasize teamwork, dedication, and a competitive
spirit, all of which are embodied in Ms. Quintanilla; and
WHEREAS, The achievements of this remarkable young
student-athlete are a source of great pride to her family and
friends, and it is indeed appropriate that she receive special
recognition at this time; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Ashley Quintanilla on being named
softball offensive player of the year at Ernesto Serna Middle
School and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
and happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Quintanilla as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
