R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Central Texas Technology Center (CTTC) in New Braunfels promises to be a reliable provider of education and training to numerous Texans and a valuable resource for employers seeking a highly skilled and motivated workforce; and WHEREAS, The result of a 12-year community effort, the CTTC is an educational complex that will house large trade workshop labs, fully equipped computer labs, and ample classroom space for academic, distance learning, life sciences, and medical technology studies; and WHEREAS, The Seguin Economic Development Corporation, the New Braunfels Economic Development Corporation, and the Economic Development Administration have worked together to support and fund this important endeavor; Alamo Community College will operate CTTC, providing vocational and technical classes ranging from computer science to engine mechanics to high school students and adults; and WHEREAS, The CTTC will undoubtedly serve the community well by offering Texans more education and economic opportunities, a worthwhile endeavor that will begin when classes commence in 2004; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature hereby recognize the Central Texas Technology Center for the many benefits it will provide to New Braunfels and surrounding areas and extend to all those associated with this noteworthy enterprise sincere best wishes for a future filled with success and happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for prominent display at CTTC as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
