R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The wedding anniversary of two outstanding Texans who have shared 71 happy and rewarding years of marriage is truly a remarkable occasion; and WHEREAS, Otto and Ida Lisenbee of Lamesa commemorated this memorable event in their lives on May 8, 2003, when they celebrated their 71 years of mutual affection and devotion; and WHEREAS, United in marriage on May 8, 1932, in Lovington, New Mexico, the couple have seen their relationship grow in love and respect with each passing year; and WHEREAS, True partners in all aspects of their lives, the Lisenbees worked together for 17 years as caretakers at Camp Arrowhead in Glen Rose, and they have also shared their faith together as members of the Church of the Nazarene for nearly three quarters of a century; and WHEREAS, For over seven decades, Mr. and Mrs. Lisenbee have enjoyed a union filled with many wonderful times and joyful family memories, and their relationship remains a source of inspiration to the family and many friends of this fortunate pair; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Otto and Ida Lisenbee on their 71st wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Lisenbee as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
