R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Ladyana Hernandez of Alamo has been selected to 
perform with the Texas All-State Choir as part of the 2003 Texas 
Music Educators Association Convention; and
	WHEREAS, A student at PSJA Memorial High School, Ms. 
Hernandez demonstrated exceptional talent throughout the rigorous 
auditioning process and is truly deserving of being chosen for this 
honor; and
	WHEREAS, Family and friends are justifiably proud of this 
exemplary student's performance, especially her mother, Ana Maria 
Hernandez, and her choir director, Sharon Frich; a young lady of 
many interests, Ms. Hernandez also enjoys drama, traveling, and 
attending church activities at Primera Iglesia Bautista; and
	WHEREAS, Only a handful of the Lone Star State's student 
vocalists achieve the prestige associated with being named to the 
All-State Choir and this honor will surely be remembered by Ms. 
Hernandez for years to come; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Ladyana Hernandez on being 
selected to perform with the Texas All-State Choir and extend to her 
sincere best wishes for continued happiness and success; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Hernandez as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
