H.R. No. 1540



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Alexandria Nicole Gonzalez has won the University 
Interscholastic League (UIL) spelling championship for District 
32-4A, and her impressive accomplishment indeed merits special 
praise; and
	WHEREAS, An eighth-grader at Mercedes Junior High School, Ms. 
Gonzalez correctly spelled all 120 words in the competition, held 
recently at Elsa Middle School; and
	WHEREAS, Coached by Rodolfo Badillo, this outstanding young 
Texan has now attained the top speller designation for the fifth 
consecutive year in the district UIL contest; and
	WHEREAS, Alexandria Nicole Gonzalez has demonstrated 
exceptional intelligence, determination, and maturity in 
successfully pursuing her goals, and it is truly a pleasure to honor 
her at this time; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Alexandria Nicole Gonzalez on her 
championship performance at the UIL District 32-4A spelling 
competition and extend to her best wishes for success and happiness 
in the coming years; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Gonzalez as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
