R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, David M. Conrad of Boy Scouts of America Troop 159 in 
Austin has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this 
accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and
	WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant 
honor, bestowed on only a fraction of those who enter the scouting 
movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding criteria, 
Mr. Conrad earned 21 merit badges and successfully completed an 
Eagle Scout project of benefit to his community; and
	WHEREAS, This fine young man has demonstrated outstanding 
leadership ability as he has worked toward the highest rank that 
scouting offers, and his unwavering commitment has won the respect 
and admiration of his peers; and
	WHEREAS, His dedication to excellence and his perseverance in 
the pursuit of his goals have proven Eagle Scout Conrad worthy to 
stand among scouting's elite, and it is most appropriate that he be 
honored at this time; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate David M. Conrad on attaining the 
rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for the 
future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Conrad as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
