R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Sam White of Quitman has recently been recognized 
for his long tenure of community service in the Rotary Club with the 
declaration of May 23, 2003, as Sam White Day in Quitman; and
	WHEREAS, Honored at "Lunch on the Square," Mr. White received 
a framed proclamation from Mayor Larry Robertson; funds raised at 
the event will go toward the worthy purpose of funding Rotary Club 
scholarships; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. White has generously devoted his time and energy 
to serving his fellow Texans, and his lifelong service to the 
Quitman community will not soon be forgotten; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature hereby commend Sam White for his admirable volunteerism 
and extend to him best wishes for future success and happiness; and, 
be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. White as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
