H.R. No. 1628


R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, May 31, 2003, marks the conclusion of a remarkable career in education for Ann Crump that has spanned three decades; and WHEREAS, A graduate of Harlingen High School, Mrs. Crump attended Texas Woman's University, East Texas State University, and Pan American University, completing both her bachelor's and master's degrees in early childhood education; and WHEREAS, She has spent 29 years of her career as a teacher in the Mineola Independent School District, serving for the past 27 as a beloved kindergarten teacher who has introduced numerous young students to the joys of learning while helping them make a successful transition from home to the classroom setting; innovative, dynamic, patient, and kind, she has won the respect and admiration of coworkers and parents alike and a special place in the hearts of many of her students; and WHEREAS, In all that she does, Mrs. Crump enjoys the love and support of her family, which includes her husband, Mike, her sons, Jeff and Jason, and her granddaughter, Alyssa; and WHEREAS, This esteemed woman has enriched the lives of generations of young Texans throughout her years in the classroom, and it is a pleasure to honor her as she embarks on the next chapter of her life; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature hereby commend Ann Crump on her outstanding career as an educator and extend to her sincere best wishes for a happy and rewarding retirement; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mrs. Crump as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
