R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Blair K. Haley was chosen to be a participant in the Texas Legislative Internship Program; and WHEREAS, Blair has traveled all the way from Louisiana to work in the Texas State Capitol and learn the legislative process; and WHEREAS, Blair has been working in the office of State Representative Senfronia Thompson; and WHEREAS, Blair graduated from Xavier University on May 10, 2003, with a bachelor of arts in political science and sociology; and WHEREAS, Blair has shown great compassion and eagerness to learn over the course of the session in order to better the lives of the people of Texas; and WHEREAS, Blair has worked extremely hard and diligently throughout the course of the session to increase not only his own success and well-being, but also that of others; and WHEREAS, Blair has plans to carry this tradition of sharing his self with others as a writer, orator, and educator in order to encourage the people he interacts with to reach their utmost potential; and WHEREAS, Blair has made work this session a wonderful environment to be a part of, accompanied by a continuous laugh track; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature hereby extend congratulations to Blair Haley on the completion of his bachelor of arts degree and graduation from Xavier University and extend best wishes for his future success; and, be it further RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature hereby declare Blair K. Haley to be an Honorary Texan with all the bragging rights, distinction, and appurtenances which this distinguished title carries.
